The Company:
Our client is a well-established food production business, with over 30 years of experience in the industry. They boast a dedicated and experienced team that has achieved success in both domestic and European markets. Located in a new state-of-the-art facility in West Dublin.


The Role:
As the Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to support business decision-making. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis within the food manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) with supporting documentation.
  • Prepare quarterly sectoral P&L accounts.
  • Provide general cost and financial accounting support.
  • Process payroll.
  • Assist AP function in capturing costs and maintaining PO book.
  • Prepare and submit VAT, VIES, and Intrastat reports.
  • Complete CRO surveys.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Assist with monthly/annual stock takes.
  • Support year-end process and annual audit.
  • Support Finance Manager and provide team cover as needed.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned within the scope of the Management Accountant role.
   
The Person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in management accounting, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
Benefits:
  • Salary of €55,000 - €60,000(DOE)
  • €800 bonus per annum payable €400 in December and €400 in June. Only eligible after six months employment.
