Job Overview
We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our clients growing team. In this role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of the mechanical design process, leading projects from concept to completion. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects while developing your skills and expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver detailed designs and specifications for mechanical building services systems.
  • Use industry-standard tools such as Hevacomp, HAP, AutoCAD, and Revit for technical calculations.
  • Prepare technical specifications, reports, and maintain detailed project records.
  • Attend meetings with clients and contractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Carry out site surveys and inspections, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Organise your workload effectively and contribute to overall project planning.
  • Assist with cost management and flag any changes or scope adjustments to the project lead.
  • Support the development of junior team members by sharing technical knowledge and guidance.
Requirements
  • Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience working in a similar role.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards CEng (preferred but not essential).
  • Competent in tools such as Hevacomp, IES, HAP, AutoCAD, and Revit.
  • Background in a design consultancy or contractor design environment.
  • Understanding of building physics and relevant technical standards.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to work independently, and confidence in communicating with clients and stakeholders.

  • Base salary of €70,000 - €80,000
