Harper Finley have partnered with a market leading Electrical Engineering company to hire a Bid Manager on a full time, permanent basis, in Co. Kildare. This role will be responsible for managing the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion, while building relationships with key clients. This company has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and this role is key to contributing to that growth.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire tendering process, from initiation to finalization.
Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with key clients to ensure all tender invitations are identified and documented.
Ensure tender folders are properly organized and accessible, keeping all relevant team members informed.
Prepare accurate and well-structured tender submissions within the required deadlines.
Manage the timely submission and processing of all technical, financial, and contractual aspects of tenders, while tracking feedback and outcomes.
Raise tender-related queries and generate comprehensive tender reports.
Conduct risk assessments and lead risk reviews for tenders.
Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
Supervise the upkeep and accuracy of the cost database.
Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers.
Stay updated on industry trends and developments to ensure competitive positioning.
Develop and implement quality assurance processes to uphold high standards within the Tendering Department.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the tendering team to enhance their skills and performance.
Report on the progress and outcomes of tenders, including detailed analyses of results
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Relevant level 8 degree
Strong experience in a senior commercial role within this industry
Experience in the Irish or UK market
Strong experience with project management, budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis
