Harper Finley have partnered with a leading vehicle and machinery hire & sales company to recruit a Financial Management Accountant to work on a full time, permanent basis. The role is based in Naas, Co, Kildare and reports to the Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with 2+ years of financial management experience in the Irish market.
  
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including the Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement for multiple subsidiaries.
  • Conduct financial analysis and deliver insights into business performance across various revenue streams.
  • Track financial performance, highlighting opportunities for cost control and operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to support the preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of VAT Returns in compliance with Revenue regulations.
  • Evaluate the financial performance of key customer contracts, identifying opportunities for renegotiation or cost savings.
  • Act as a business partner to key stakeholders, offering financial guidance and support across departments.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory reports and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Contribute to the automation and enhancement of financial processes and reporting systems within Microsoft Dynamics.
  
Role Requirements:
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualified accountant.
  • 2+ years of financial management experience in the Irish market.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, reporting and accounting standards
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
