The Company:
Our client is a leading wholesaler of agricultural machinery, distributing premium brands across Ireland through a well-established dealer network. They are known for their strong technical expertise and aftersales support. To enhance their field support operations, they are seeking an experienced Area Service Manager to oversee the southern region of Ireland.

The Role:
The Area Service Manager will be responsible for providing technical support to dealers, managing aftersales service standards, and maintaining strong relationships with both dealers and internal teams. This role is field-based, with regular travel across the southern territory, and plays a key part in sustaining the company’s reputation for market-leading service.

Key Responsibilities:
Dealer Support & Service Coordination:
  • Act as the main aftersales contact for assigned dealers in the southern region
  • Support dealers with technical queries, diagnostics, and customer service issues
  • Approve and manage warranty claims in line with company policy
Technical Expertise & Training:
  • Deliver and assist with dealer training (product and technical) both in the field and in-house
  • Stay up to date with new machinery through regular training (some international travel required)
  • Represent the company and its brands professionally at all times
Internal Collaboration & Record Keeping:
  • Work closely with the Field Service Engineer and Service Manager to resolve issues
  • Liaise with Area Sales Managers to address customer feedback and support market growth
  • Maintain accurate service records and warranty logs using internal systems
The Person:
  • Experience in agricultural machinery service – ideally with Krone or Amazone (or competing brands)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with hands-on mechanical and/or electrical knowledge
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise work and manage time effectively
  • Flexible attitude – willing to work extended hours during peak season and travel as needed
  • Full clean driver’s licence and good IT skills (Microsoft Office suite)
The Offer:
  • Base salary of €60,000
