On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are recruiting a Quality Assurance Manager on a permanent basis. There is an option for full time or part time hours. Our client is a well-established company in the food production industry, dedicated to high quality & sustainable manufacturing. This role reports to the Managing Director and has the support of a QA Specialist. The Quality Manager has oversight of the QMS and will act as the site lead during external audits. Previous experience in the food industry is essential.
  
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with technical teams of customers and suppliers.
  • Oversee quality control and assurance across the manufacturing process.
  • Maintain Quality Management and HACCP systems.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyse trends, and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate non-conformances, deviations, and customer complaints, ensuring preventive measures.
  • Lead audit preparations and ensure resolution of previous actions.
  • Verify production samples against specifications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and traceability exercises.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • BSc in a relevant field
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in the food industry
  • Experience at Quality Manager level
  • BRC and Grocery Retail Food Standard lead experience
  • Food Hygiene certificate (HACCP and internal auditing certificate desirable)
  • Previous experience leading internal and external audits
  • QMS management experience
