Job Title: Junior Accountant Role Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Navan, Co. Meath
On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are recruiting a Junior Accountant/Financial Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a well-established company in the food production industry, dedicated to high quality & sustainable manufacturing. This role reports to the Managing Director. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to complete your remaining ACCA’s while working in a busy Financial Specialist role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis, Conduct weekly/monthly performance analysis, variance reporting, and insightful commentary. Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial KPIs.
Fixed Assets & Inventory Management: Oversee capital expenditure, asset capitalization, and ensure compliance with policies. Support inventory control and manage write-offs.
Accounting Operations: Maintain AP & AR ledgers, review production orders in SAP, and manage period-end close, including invoice posting and accruals. Prepare VAT reports.
Costing & Business Support: Analyse production yield variances, track R&D spend, and ensure accurate product/process costing. Assist in optimizing cost structures and manufacturing efficiencies.
Working closely with operations and functional leads to monitor cost indicators, enhance reporting, and support decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance
Part Qualified Accountant
Strong post-graduation experience in an accounting and finance role.
Strong administration skills and intermediate Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail
