A well-established and highly regarded Dublin law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its busy litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional and supportive practice with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across a broad range of litigation matters. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the firm's litigation department. This role is ideally suited to someone with previous litigation experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
 
Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to the litigation team.
  • Prepare, format and amend legal correspondence, court documents and briefs using digital dictation.
  • Manage files from opening through to closing, ensuring accurate file maintenance and organisation.
  • Coordinate court documentation and liaise with counsel, expert witnesses and other professional advisers.
  • Arrange settlement meetings and assist with general case administration.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, counsel and third parties.
  • Process invoicing and assist with following up outstanding matters.
  • Scan, photocopy and electronically file documentation.
  • Provide reception and administrative cover when required.
  • Carry out other ad hoc administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within a litigation environment.
  • Experience supporting either plaintiff or defence litigation matters.
  • Previous experience using Keyhouse practice management software is highly desirable.
  • Strong typing speed of 60+ words per minute.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and digital dictation software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of working independently while managing deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Professional, reliable and eager to contribute as part of a team.
