The Company
 A well-established creative production and project delivery business is seeking a Senior Accounts Administrator to join its finance team. This hands-on role involves supporting the day-to-day accounting function across accounts payable, reconciliations, VAT returns, and financial reporting within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Initially offered as a temporary contract with no fixed end date, the position presents a strong opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
 
Responsibilities
  • Maintain purchase, sales, and nominal ledgers, including trial balance reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable, including invoice coding, reconciliations, and weekly payment runs
  • Review and process subcontractor invoices, ensuring hours and costs are accurate
  • Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns
  • Monitor debtor accounts and support credit control activities
  • Assist with month-end reporting and financial reconciliations
  • Support process improvements and provide guidance to junior team members
  • Provide general finance and administrative support as required
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in an accounts or finance administration role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Accounting (essential)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
