A leading Irish events & structural company operating across the corporate, private, sporting and events sectors is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join its team in Tuam, Co. Galway. This is a broad, hands-on finance role with responsibility across financial reporting, forecasting, AP/AR, compliance and commercial finance.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, accruals, reconciliations and financial reports.
Manage cashflow and financial forecasting, VAT returns, year-end requirements and audit processes.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, debt collection, payroll support and fixed assets.
Support stock control, job costing, purchasing, tenders and commercial decision-making.
Liaise with management, suppliers, customers and external partners across transport, customs, insurance and operational finance.
Requirements
Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar financial accounting role.
Strong knowledge of month-end, management accounts, reconciliations, forecasting and compliance.
Background in construction, logistics or events environments is key.
Excellent Excel and IT skills; SAGE experience advantageous.
Highly organised, accurate and commercially minded, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
A proactive, flexible professional who is comfortable working across a broad range of finance and operational responsibilities.
Offer
€75,000-€80,000 salary depending on experience
