Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Plant Fitter to join their team on a unique 12-month contract, splitting your time between Ireland and Helsinki, Finland.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong experience working on plant machinery and heavy equipment, who is comfortable carrying out installation, maintenance, inspections and fault-finding work.
The contract is structured as 6 months in Ireland and 6 months in Finland, offering an excellent earning potential in both locations.
Responsibilities
While working in Ireland, you will be responsible for:
Installation and commissioning of plant and lifting equipment
Planned and reactive maintenance
Inspection of lifting gear and associated equipment
Mechanical fault-finding and repair
Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards
While working in Finland, you will be responsible for:
Maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment
Maintenance of lifting gear
Carrying out inspections and assessments relating to machinery operations
Identifying mechanical issues and ensuring equipment is safe for use
Working as part of a site-based team in Helsinki
Requirements
Proven experience as a Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter or similar
Strong knowledge of plant machinery and mechanical equipment
Experience with equipment such as excavators, telehandlers, forklifts or other heavy machinery would be advantageous
CSCS card
Experience carrying out maintenance, repairs and inspections
Good understanding of safe working practices
Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
Full driving licence
Comfortable travelling and working internationally
