Role: Our client is seeking a Junior Lifting Equipment Engineer to join their team on a unique 12-month contract, splitting your time between Ireland and Helsinki, Finland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical mechanical or plant machinery background who is looking to develop their career in lifting equipment inspection, machinery assessment and safety compliance. The contract is structured as 6 months in Ireland and 6 months in Finland, offering the opportunity to gain specialist experience working across both locations.
Responsibilities While working in Ireland, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out inspections of lifting equipment
Completing safety checks and assessments
Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe and compliant for use
Identifying potential issues or safety concerns
Completing relevant inspection documentation and reports
While working in Finland, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out inspections and assessments of plant machinery
Assessing machinery operations and safe working practices
Inspecting equipment and identifying potential safety concerns
Completing relevant inspection and compliance documentation
Working as part of a site-based team in Helsinki
Requirements
Practical experience in plant machinery, mechanical fitting, lifting equipment, construction, engineering or machinery operation
Good understanding of plant machinery and safe working practices
Experience with equipment such as excavators, telehandlers, forklifts or other plant machinery would be advantageous
CSCS card
Strong attention to detail
An interest in developing a career within equipment inspection and assessment
Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate documentation
Full driving licence
Comfortable travelling and working internationally

€3,000 annual bonus
