Locations: Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland & Helsinki, Finland
Duration: 12-Month Contract | 6 months in each location
Package: Average earnings €55-65K in Ireland | €1,100 per week Net in Finland
 
Role:
Our client is seeking a Junior Lifting Equipment Engineer to join their team on a unique 12-month contract, splitting your time between Ireland and Helsinki, Finland.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical mechanical or plant machinery background who is looking to develop their career in lifting equipment inspection, machinery assessment and safety compliance.
The contract is structured as 6 months in Ireland and 6 months in Finland, offering the opportunity to gain specialist experience working across both locations.
 
Responsibilities
While working in Ireland, you will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out inspections of lifting equipment
  • Completing safety checks and assessments
  • Inspecting equipment to ensure it is safe and compliant for use
  • Identifying potential issues or safety concerns
  • Completing relevant inspection documentation and reports
While working in Finland, you will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out inspections and assessments of plant machinery
  • Assessing machinery operations and safe working practices
  • Inspecting equipment and identifying potential safety concerns
  • Completing relevant inspection and compliance documentation
  • Working as part of a site-based team in Helsinki
Requirements
  • Practical experience in plant machinery, mechanical fitting, lifting equipment, construction, engineering or machinery operation
  • Good understanding of plant machinery and safe working practices
  • Experience with equipment such as excavators, telehandlers, forklifts or other plant machinery would be advantageous
  • CSCS card
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An interest in developing a career within equipment inspection and assessment
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate documentation
  • Full driving licence
  • Comfortable travelling and working internationally
Offer
Ireland
  • Average annual earnings of €55,000-€65,000
  • Paid overtime at double time
  • €3,000 annual bonus
  • €10 per day tax-free subsistence

  • Average monthly earnings of €4,400-€5,000 DOE
  • Company vehicle and fuel card
  • Accommodation provided
