The Company:
An Irish energy company developing low-carbon district heating networks. The business manages projects from initial feasibility and design through to funding, construction and operation, helping support Ireland's transition to cleaner energy.  

The Role:
The company is looking for an experienced Energy Engineer to support the development and delivery of district heating projects. Reporting to the CEO, you will assess potential sites and buildings, coordinate technical design work and engage with customers and project stakeholders.  

Responsibilities:
  • Assess the technical and commercial viability of potential projects.
  • Manage project mapping and customer information using GIS software.
  • Support the design of energy centres, heat networks and building connections.
  • Coordinate external consultants and other project stakeholders.
  • Develop customer relationships and understand their heating requirements.
  • Lead grant applications with support from colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals and presentations.
  • Monitor project progress and report against development targets.
  • Support business strategy, industry engagement and policy discussions.
  The Person:
  • Engineering degree or relevant qualification.
  • 3+ years' experience in energy, building services or renewable heating.
  • GIS experience, ideally ArcGIS.
  • Strong technical, analytical and project coordination skills.
  • Confident dealing with customers and preparing technical reports.
  • Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
  • Full driving licence, willingness to travel and eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • District heating experience advantageous.
  The Offer:
  • Salary of €50,000 - €60,000+ DOE
  • Hybrid working, combining home working, the Dublin office and customer site visits.
  • Full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday.
  • 21 days' annual leave.
