Project Engineer Location: Dublin, with travel to project sites Salary: €40,000-€50,000 DOE Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Our client is a growing engineering business delivering refrigeration and HVAC projects across a range of sectors. They are now looking to appoint a Project Engineer to support the delivery of projects from initial planning through to installation, commissioning and handover. This is a hands-on role combining technical coordination with regular site involvement, working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
Responsibilities
Support projects from initial planning through installation, commissioning and handover.
Review technical drawings, specifications and equipment requirements.
Coordinate technical submissions, equipment orders and delivery schedules.
Liaise with site teams and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and issues.
Track project progress and flag delays, shortages or installation issues.
Maintain project records, quality checks and health & safety documentation.
Support commissioning and preparation of project handover documentation.
Attend site meetings and provide clear progress updates.
Work closely with project managers and suppliers to ensure projects stay on track.
Requirements
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline, or relevant trade experience with project coordination exposure.
Experience supporting mechanical, HVAC or refrigeration projects.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong organisation skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and site teams.
Practical approach to problem solving.
Good communication skills and a willingness to get involved on site.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
Data centre experience would be an advantage.
