The Company We’re working with a growing agricultural business looking to add a Field Agent to their team. This is a field-based role ideal for someone with a strong livestock background, particularly experience in livestock marts, farming or calf procurement.
The Role You’ll spend most of your time out on farms and at livestock marts, building relationships with farmers and sourcing quality calves across your region.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and livestock producers
Attend farms and livestock marts to source calves and develop new suppliers
Purchase calves in line with company quality and welfare standards
Negotiate purchasing arrangements with farmers and producers
Monitor livestock markets, pricing and competitor activity
Maintain accurate supplier and procurement records
The Person
Experience in livestock farming, marts, procurement or agricultural sales
Livestock mart experience would be a strong advantage
Good knowledge of cattle, calf quality, health and welfare
Confident dealing directly with farmers and negotiating purchases
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
Full UK driving licence and happy to travel regularly
