Our client, a specialist in the design, installation and certification of lifting equipment, is seeking a Lifting Equipment Engineer to carry out equipment inspections and safety assessments.
This role involves inspecting lifting equipment in Ireland and assessing plant machinery in Helsinki, Finland. It offers an opportunity for someone with a practical mechanical or plant machinery background to develop their career in equipment inspection and safety compliance.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out inspections and safety checks on lifting equipment in Ireland
  • Inspect and assess plant machinery and safe working practices in Finland
  • Identify and report any equipment defects, safety concerns or compliance issues
  • Complete inspection reports, checklists and compliance documents accurately and on time
  • Work closely with clients and site teams, providing clear communication and professional service
  • Follow relevant safety standards, procedures and inspection protocols
  
Requirements:
  • Practical experience in mechanical fitting, plant machinery, lifting equipment, construction or machinery operation
  • Good understanding of machinery and safe working practices
  • Experience with excavators, telehandlers, forklifts or similar equipment is an advantage
  • CSCS card
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and compliance
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete accurate documentation
  • Good communication skills and an interest in developing a career in equipment inspection
  • Full driving licence and availability to spend 6 months working in Finland
  
The Offer:
Ireland:
  • Average annual earnings of €50,000–€60,000
  • Overtime paid at double time
  • Annual bonus of €3,000
  • €10 daily tax-free subsistence allowance

Finland:
  • Average monthly net earnings of €4,400–€5,000, depending on experience
  • Accommodation provided
  • Company vehicle and fuel card
  • Work 3 weeks out of every 4, with pay for the full 4 weeks
