Project Manager - Wastewater
Location: Southeast Region
Salary: €70,000 - €85,000 DOE
Full-time, permanent | Site-based / Regional
 
A dynamic and fast-growing Irish civil engineering and infrastructure business is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager - Wastewater to join its dedicated wastewater delivery team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Wastewater Projects Manager, supporting the delivery of multiple wastewater infrastructure projects across the Southeast and Midlands. This is a hands-on delivery role, providing operational and technical support to Site Supervisors and Engineers while managing project performance, programme, resources, stakeholders, and commercial requirements. Projects will include Uisce Éireann infrastructure works, wastewater treatment upgrades, wastewater network upgrades, and associated water and wastewater infrastructure projects across both urban and rural environments.
 
Responsibilities
  • Support the Wastewater Projects Manager in the successful delivery of multiple wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Provide operational and technical support to Site Supervisors, Engineers, and wider project teams
  • Lead and coordinate projects from planning and mobilisation through to completion
  • Review the constructability of wastewater design solutions and identify potential delivery issues
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, programmes, and resource-loaded schedules
  • Monitor project performance against programme, scope, quality, and commercial requirements
  • Identify and resolve issues relating to performance, scope, cost, resources, and scheduling
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, client representatives, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams, departments, and third-party providers
  • Prepare and communicate regular project reports and progress updates for internal management and clients
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project status, progress, risks, and key issues
  • Support contract administration and commercial management throughout project delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with relevant Irish and UK water and wastewater standards
  • Provide leadership and support to project teams throughout the construction phase
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a Project Management, Delivery Management, Construction Management, or similar role within the water/wastewater sector
  • Strong water and wastewater experience - essential
  • Experience working to Irish or UK water and wastewater standards - essential
  • Experience delivering wastewater infrastructure projects, ideally including network upgrades and/or wastewater treatment works
  • Experience working on Uisce Éireann infrastructure projects highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery and project coordination
  • Experience working with Site Supervisors, Engineers, subcontractors, clients, and wider project teams
  • Relevant academic or technical qualification desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs, scope, and programme
  • Confident and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Full clean driving licence - essential
