The Company: Our client is an established business in the construction materials and heavy industrial sector. They are looking for an experienced Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team, offering a long-term position with a modern workshop and excellent facilities.
The Role: You’ll keep fixed plant machinery running through a mix of servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs. The equipment includes loaders, dumpers, conveyors, crushers and screens, giving you plenty of variety across the working week.
Responsibilities:
Service, maintain and repair fixed plant machinery
Diagnose mechanical faults and respond to breakdowns
Carry out planned maintenance, inspections and preventative checks
Work on loaders, dumpers, conveyors, crushers and screens
Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to keep equipment available and safe
Follow site health and safety procedures throughout all maintenance work
The Person:
Experience as a Plant Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Strong mechanical fault-finding, servicing and repair skills
Experience working on mobile and fixed plant equipment
Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
Basic electrical knowledge and an understanding of electrical faults on plant machinery
The Offer:
Average earnings of €60,000–€70,000
Up to 50 hours per week available, including overtime
