The Company: A well-established Irish engineering company specialising in the installation, servicing, and repair of industrial door and loading bay systems. With a strong client base across manufacturing, logistics, and industrial sectors, the company is continuing to grow and is expanding its team of field-based engineers.
The Role: Engineers will carry out new installations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting, including mechanical and electrical fault finding. Work is done both independently and in pairs, with occasional emergency callouts as part of the on-call rota.
Responsibilities:
Service, maintain and repair industrial doors and loading bay equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs
Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
Assist with new installations and commissioning
Carry out basic electrical checks and support minor electrical repairs
Respond to emergency callouts as part of the on-call rota
Complete service records and communicate with clients on-site
The Person:
Experience as a Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Plant Fitter or Field Service Engineer
Comfortable working on moving machinery and mechanical equipment
Basic electrical knowledge.
Industrial door or loading bay experience advantageous but not required
Full driving licence
Valid Safe Pass
Manual Handling and Working at Heights desirable; training can be provided
The Offer:
€60,000-€65,000+ depending on experience
40-45 hours per week, typically 8am-5pm
Time and a half after 8pm and all day Saturday
Double time on Sundays and for on-call work
On-call rota of one weekend in eight
€150 standby payment for the on-call weekend with minimum three hours' pay per callout
