An established utilities company based in Cork is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its strategic and operational activities. The role offers responsibility for overall business performance, financial management, team leadership and continued growth, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, operational efficiency and service excellence.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance and service quality.
Drive business growth, sustainability and continuous improvement.
Manage financial performance, including budgets, forecasting and profitability.
Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory and health & safety standards.
Develop and implement strategic business plans.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, local authorities and key partners.
Lead, develop and motivate teams, promoting a positive and safety-focused culture.
The Person
Proven senior management experience, ideally within waste management, utilities, logistics or a related sector.
Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L management.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strategic, forward-thinking approach with a focus on operational excellence.
Based in or willing to relocate to Cork.
