Overview: Our client, a specialist in the design, installation, and maintenance of lifting equipment, is seeking an Installation Lead to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, field-based role across Ireland, where you'll lead the installation of cranes, hoists, jib cranes, and lifting systems. The position suits someone mechanically minded who enjoys building, fixing, and leading on-site work.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission cranes, hoists, jib cranes, and goods lifts in industrial and commercial environments.
Lead installations on-site, guiding junior crew and apprentices.
Carry out rigging, lifting, positioning, load testing, and commissioning.
Operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, teleporters, and rigging gear.
Complete RAMS, risk assessments, permits, and site safety documentation.
Collaborate with project managers and provide feedback on scope and challenges.
Travel across Ireland with occasional overnight stays; international projects possible.
Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on installation or rigging experience.
Background in steel erection, plant installation, rigging, or similar.
Leadership experience on-site while remaining fully "on the tools."
Good judgement around safety and lifting operations.
Calm under pressure, adaptable, and solution focused.
Reliable with a long-term mindset
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel.
