The Role: We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our client in Co. Meath. This leadership role focuses on promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring employees, contractors, and partners understand their responsibilities and feel empowered to act.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and implement SHEQ strategies aligned with legislation and company goals.
Lead and develop the SHEQ team, ensuring capability and motivation.
Drive compliance by embedding policies, procedures, and training across the business.
Manage audits, investigations, and reviews, ensuring effective reporting and corrective actions.
Monitor industry trends, share insights, and promote innovation to enhance performance.
Collaborate with operational leaders and external bodies to uphold and improve standards.
Report on SHEQ performance, presenting data and monitoring service levels against industry benchmarks.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
5+ years’ experience in a similar role, with a track record of driving health & safety culture change across multi-site, operational businesses.
NEBOSH Diploma (or relevant degree) in Occupational Health & Safety/Environmental Management, with ongoing CPD.
Strong knowledge of ISO Standards and proven auditing experience.
Experience managing geographically spread teams and ensuring consistent policy implementation.
Skilled in developing and implementing SHEQ KPIs to drive improvement
Confident in liaising with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and external clients.
