The Role: We are seeking a SHEQ Officer to join our client in County Kildare. The ideal candidate will have a background in occupational health and safety or environmental through hands on work experience or academic experience. The SHEQ Officer will collaborate with various departments to create and promote a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and report potential hazards, risks, and environmental impacts and recommend appropriate control measures.
Conduct regular safety inspections, environmental assessments & audits to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Provide health & safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors.
Investigate incidents and quality issues to develop and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct safety drills.
Promote a culture of SHEQ excellence throughout the organization.
Requirements:
Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental an advantage.
Proven experience as an Environmental Health and Safety Officer or similar role, preferably in a high-risk industry.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify hazards, risks, and improvement opportunities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
