Harper Finley have partnered with an Accountancy firm in Lucan, Dublin, to hire an experienced Senior Auditor on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse client base.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring excellent client service is delivered at all times.
  • Leading the planning of audit engagements, including determining timing, staffing and structure, and ensuring audits are conducted efficiently.
  • Liaising directly with clients, building strong professional relationships, and participating in planning and closing meetings as well as discussions on wider business developments.
  • Reviewing audit work papers prepared by junior staff, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Reviewing and finalising statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
  • Researching and resolving technical queries for clients, providing clear and practical advice.
  • Actively contributing to client meetings relating to audit and accounting assignments.
  • Supporting effective cash management, including initiating fee invoices and monitoring collection of receivables.
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their technical development and on-the-job training.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and audit methodology.
  • Staying up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, sharing knowledge with the wider team.
  • Active involvement in Business Development for the firm.
  
Role Requirements:
  • 4 years’ experience in a professional audit environment.
  • 2 years’ experience in the Irish Market.
  • Technically strong on relevant accounting standards, auditing standards and Irish and EU Company law.
  • Experience in auditing small, medium and large companies and groups across a broad spectrum of industries and ability to apply a practical risk-based approach to auditing.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of leading, supervising and training staff.
  • Proven track record of planning and organising assignments efficiently and meeting client expectations.
Salary:
  • €70,000 - €75,000.
  
Note: This role is open to candidates with EU passport or Stamp 4 visa.
