Job Title: Senior Auditor Role Type: Full Time, Permanent Location: Lucan, Co. Dublin
Harper Finley have partnered with an Accountancy firm in Lucan, Dublin, to hire an experienced Senior Auditor on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse client base. Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring excellent client service is delivered at all times.
Leading the planning of audit engagements, including determining timing, staffing and structure, and ensuring audits are conducted efficiently.
Liaising directly with clients, building strong professional relationships, and participating in planning and closing meetings as well as discussions on wider business developments.
Reviewing audit work papers prepared by junior staff, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring compliance with professional standards.
Reviewing and finalising statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
Researching and resolving technical queries for clients, providing clear and practical advice.
Actively contributing to client meetings relating to audit and accounting assignments.
Supporting effective cash management, including initiating fee invoices and monitoring collection of receivables.
Overseeing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their technical development and on-the-job training.
Contributing to continuous improvement of internal processes and audit methodology.
Staying up to date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, sharing knowledge with the wider team.
Active involvement in Business Development for the firm.
Role Requirements:
4 years’ experience in a professional audit environment.
2 years’ experience in the Irish Market.
Technically strong on relevant accounting standards, auditing standards and Irish and EU Company law.
Experience in auditing small, medium and large companies and groups across a broad spectrum of industries and ability to apply a practical risk-based approach to auditing.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience of leading, supervising and training staff.
Proven track record of planning and organising assignments efficiently and meeting client expectations.
Salary:
€70,000 - €75,000.
Note: This role is open to candidates with EU passport or Stamp 4 visa.
