Our client, a specialist in delivery of high and medium voltage engineering solutions, is seeking a Design Engineer in Naas, County Kildare. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone holding a degree in Electrical Engineering with a keen interest in Power Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of engineering drawings (substation layouts, elevations, lightning zones)
Preparation of panel schematic drawings
Design of protection and control schemes
Preparation of equipment specifications
Technical evaluation of equipment offers
Technical report writing
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
3+ years' experience in similar position
Familiarity with HV Substation Design from 10kV to 220kV
Proficiency in Eplan & AutoCAD 2D (advantageous)
Familiarity with ESB Standards (advantageous)
Full Driver's License
Safe Pass
Analytical yet creative approach to problem solving
Proven capability making strategic decisions
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
