The Role: They're seeking an experienced Senior Fabricator to oversee day-to-day operations in the workshop. You'll lead a small team of 3-5 fabricators, ensuring production runs smoothly, quality standards are maintained, and deadlines are met. The role is a blend of hands-on fabrication, team leadership, and coordination with clients and site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support a team of fabricators in the workshop
Plan, allocate, and oversee daily workloads and production schedules
Fabricate and weld bespoke lifting equipment to high standards
Read and interpret technical drawings and ensure team adherence
Manage materials, stock, and orders to keep projects on track
Carry out site work as required, ensuring installations are completed safely and efficiently
Inspect finished work for quality and compliance
Promote a safe, well-organised, and efficient workshop environment
Requirements:
Qualified Fabricator/Welder with strong MIG and TIG experience
Proven experience in a senior or lead fabrication role
Confident reading and working from technical drawings
Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Ability to manage workload across workshop and site projects
