The Company:
Our client is a leading provider of mechanical and renewable energy solutions, specialising in the installation and maintenance of domestic heat pump systems and associated mechanical services. Operating across Dublin, they are recognised for delivering high-quality, energy-efficient systems that meet modern residential and sustainability standards.
 
The Role:
The company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance of domestic heat pumps and mechanical systems in residential housing and apartments. The role ensures all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations both during and after project delivery.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on installed mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, carry out minor repairs, and escalate complex faults to technical teams.
  • Assist with system commissioning to ensure mechanical systems meet performance specifications before handover.
  • Conduct post-installation inspections and testing to verify quality and compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, diagnostics, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work adheres to site health and safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams when required.
  • Utilise company software to complete service checklists, generate service certificates, and prepare invoices.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour when interacting with homeowners and tenants.
  • Participate in relevant training programmes to support ongoing professional development and compliance.
 
The Person:
  • Qualified plumber or electrician with proven experience working on heat pump systems.
  • Demonstrable background in servicing mechanical systems within construction or MEP environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC, pumps, chillers, and pipework installations.
  • Experience with refrigeration and F-Gas systems is an advantage but not essential.
  • Possession of a valid Safe Pass or equivalent certification.
  • Full, clean driver's licence.
 
The Offer:
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Salary of between €56,000 - €63000
