Overview Our client, a leading company specialising in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of custom lifting equipment, is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of the full supply chain function within a fast-expanding engineering business, ensuring cost efficiency, strong supplier relationships, and seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory, logistics, and warehouse management.
Negotiate terms and pricing with suppliers to maximise value and support profitability.
Lead and develop warehouse staff, ensuring efficient, safe, and productive operations.
Implement supply chain processes, controls, and reporting systems that support the company's strategic growth.
Monitor stock levels, manage forecasts, and make commercial decisions to reduce costs and optimise resources.
Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
Analyse supply chain performance, identify trends, and produce reports to inform business decisions.
Identify and implement continuous improvements with a focus on cost efficiency and operational excellence.
The Ideal Candidate
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Around 5 years' experience in a supply chain or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Commercially minded with strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Proven ability to balance operational efficiency with cost control and business growth objectives.
Strong leadership experience managing warehouse or logistics teams.
Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP system experience desirable.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
The Package
€65,000 - €75,000 per annum (depending on experience)
