The Role: An experienced Aftercare and Commissioning Engineer is required to support handed-over and legacy projects across the Greater Dublin area. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role involves carrying out aftercare callouts, commissioning systems, and ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
Responsibilities:
Manage aftercare callouts, record findings, and coordinate scheduling using construction software.
Work with aftercare, procurement, and quality teams to price, source, and cost parts as required.
Identify recurring issues or defective products and liaise with suppliers and internal teams for resolution.
Carry out commissioning and pre-commissioning checks for heating and ventilation systems (training provided).
Conduct balancing and commissioning of ventilation systems in line with design specifications.
Liaise with validation companies and specialist contractors to ensure accurate and timely handovers.
Support plant maintenance setup and perform service works, reporting findings through cloud-based systems.
Highlight remedial works and provide information to commercial teams for costing.
The Person:
3-5 years' experience as an Aftercare or Commissioning Engineer (or similar).
NVQ Level 3 or above in Plumbing.
Strong communication, organisation, and reporting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g. Procore).
Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and collaborate across teams.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel across sites in the Greater Dublin area and beyond.
