The Role:
An experienced Commissioning Engineer - Plumbing is required to support handed-over and legacy projects across the Greater Dublin area. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role involves carrying out aftercare callouts, commissioning systems, and ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Attend aftercare callouts, find the issue, and record all findings using the company’s software.
  • Order and price any parts needed, working with the aftercare and procurement teams.
  • Spot repeated faults or faulty products and report them to suppliers and internal teams.
  • Carry out commissioning and pre-commissioning checks on heating and ventilation systems (training provided).
  • Balance and commission ventilation systems to match design requirements.
  • Work with validation companies and specialist contractors to ensure proper handover of systems.
  • Help set up plant maintenance and complete service/repair work, logging everything through cloud-based systems.
  • Flag any extra repair work needed and pass details to commercial teams for costing.
 
The Person:
  • 3-5 years' experience as an Aftercare or Commissioning Engineer (or similar).
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Plumbing.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g. Procore).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and collaborate across teams.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across sites in the Greater Dublin area and beyond.
