The Opportunity This is a new, hands-on leadership role for an experienced plumbing professional or plumbing products specialist who enjoys combining technical know-how with people leadership and commercial focus. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the plumbing section, driving sales, standards and customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
Own the performance of the plumbing department, setting and achieving sales and margin targets.
Actively grow trade and retail sales through product expertise, add-on sales and solution-based selling.
Provide expert guidance on plumbing products and systems to both trade and DIY customers, including after-sales support.
Manage ordering, stock levels and supplier relationships to ensure strong availability and accurate inventory.
Maintain a well-presented, clearly merchandised plumbing area with attractive, commercial displays.
Train, mentor and support colleagues to build plumbing knowledge and confidence across the team.
Keep up to date with new products, technologies and market trends in plumbing and heating.
Skills and Experience
Strong plumbing product knowledge gained in a plumbing merchant, hardware, trade counter or similar environment.
Track record in customer-facing sales with a professional, solutions-driven approach.
Experience supervising or leading a small team or section is highly desirable.
Confident managing stock, placing orders and coordinating with suppliers.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with both trade and retail customers.

Full-time, permanent position based in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.
Starting salary of €45,000 with scope for increases as the department grows, plus a positive, supportive team culture and long-term development prospects.
