They are now seeking to appoint a Junior / Trainee Operations Manager as part of their long-term succession and talent development strategy. This is a genuinely unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain first-hand exposure to how a Multinational family-run business operates.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, "rubbing shoulders" with experienced decision-makers, learning the commercial, operational and strategic aspects of the business from the ground up. Importantly, this is a role where ideas are welcomed, and input is genuinely heard.
The Role This is a broad, hands-on development role designed to build future operational leadership capability within the organisation.
Responsibilities will include:
Supporting senior management with day-to-day operational activities across multiple sites
Gaining exposure to end-to-end business operations, including production, supply chain, logistics and compliance
Assisting with process improvement initiatives and operational projects
Analysing data and preparing reports to support decision-making
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Representing the business on international visits and operational reviews
Learning best-in-class operational practices within a multinational environment
This role will involve significant travel across Europe and occasionally further afield, offering unparalleled exposure to international operations.
About You This role will suit a motivated and curious individual at the early stages of their career who is keen to learn and grow within a complex, fast-moving business.
You will ideally have:
A degree in Business, Agriculture, Operations Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
A strong interest in operations, sustainability and how large businesses function
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders
A proactive, hands-on attitude and a willingness to learn
Strong organisational and analytical skills
Flexibility to travel internationally on a regular basis
Full driving licence (preferred)
