Project Manager 
 
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of HV/MV electrical projects from planning through to commissioning. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage complex, safety-critical projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and deliver HV/MV electrical projects on time, within scope and budget
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, risk registers, and delivery strategies
  • Control project budgets, resources, contracts, and financial performance
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure full compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and SHEQ requirements
  • Coordinate design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and commercial risks
  • Provide accurate reporting on progress, KPIs, costs, and programme to senior management
  • Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across project teams

Requirements
  • HV experience is an advantage but not essential
  • Good working knowledge of electrical testing equipment
  • Proven ability to manage all aspects of project delivery
Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline
Licences & Certifications
  • Safe Pass
  • Full driving licence
  • Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, CEng, or equivalent
Experience
  • Minimum 10+ years' project management experience within HV/MV electrical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and national electrical standards
  • Experience delivering substation, transmission, and distribution projects
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar)
  • Strong financial and commercial management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required
  • Experience in renewables, grid modernisation, or smart grid projects is desirable
  • Familiarity with digital project management and reporting systems
ISO / SHEQ Responsibilities
  • Work in compliance with the company ISO Management System and documented procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation
  • Apply SHEQ policies in all aspects of work
  • Contribute to achieving company objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
