The Company
An established electrical and instrumentation contractor is currently seeking an Electrical Estimator to join its commercial team. The role supports the delivery of E&I projects, from early design and procurement stages through to installation, commissioning, and handover. Operating across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, the company works across a range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, data centres, food & drink, semi-conductor manufacturing, and power transmission and distribution. The Role
The Electrical Estimator will play a key role in the successful tendering of large-scale national and international projects. Based at the regional office in Trim, this position involves managing the full tendering lifecycle and working closely with internal departments to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely submissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage tenders for large-scale projects across sectors such as data centres, life sciences, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals
  • Manage the full tendering process from initial review through to final submission
  • Prepare detailed take-offs and cost estimates from drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Review tender documentation and develop tender queries, clarifications, and value engineering alternatives
  • Liaise with internal departments to coordinate inputs and ensure timely tender submissions
  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings and interviews as required
  • Participate in handover meetings with operations teams following successful awards
  • Work independently while contributing effectively as part of an integrated project team
Requirements
  • Relevant third-level qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience, ideally within an electrical contracting environment
  • Electrical estimating experience essential; instrumentation or BMS experience is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
  • A proactive, professional, and collaborative approach
