Our client is a boutique accountancy firm best in Dublin. They are a firm regulated by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and have registered auditor status in the Republic of Ireland.
The Role
We are looking for a Practice Accountant to join their team in West Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accounting services to our clients, including bookkeeping, tax compliance, financial reporting, and advisory services. The role will require working with a diverse range of clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping for clients using various accounting software
Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management accounts
Preparation of tax returns and compliance filings, including VAT, PAYE/PRSI, and Corporation Tax
Provide business advisory services to clients, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Liaise with clients and third-party advisors, such as banks, auditors, and solicitors
Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments, as required
The Person
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
3+ years of experience working in a practice environment
Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, taxation, and compliance requirements
Experience with accounting software, such as Surf Accounts, Xero, or Sage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and priorities
