Role Overview A well-established engineering and industrial organisation is seeking an experienced, hands-on
HR & Recruitment Manager to take full ownership of HR operations and recruitment across the Group.
This is a practical, on-site leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day reality of the business — visible on the shop floor and on site, trusted by management, and confident in both supporting and constructively challenging where required.
Recruitment will be a primary focus of this role, alongside managing the full employee lifecycle, strengthening HR systems, and ensuring robust compliance across the organisation.
This position requires someone proactive, organised, and comfortable taking full accountability.
Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus) Full ownership of end-to-end recruitment across all roles within the Group Workforce planning in collaboration with senior management and payroll Drafting and managing job advertisements and recruitment campaigns Direct sourcing, CV screening, and agency coordination Managing work permits and visa processes where required Conducting interviews and coordinating hiring decisions Managing offers, contracts, and structured onboarding processes Building and maintaining strong talent pipelines Managing relationships with agencies, training providers, and colleges Supporting apprenticeships, trainees, and early-career pathways HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Lead onboarding, induction, and probation processes Maintain accurate HR records and personnel files Advise and support managers on: Performance management Absence and attendance Disciplinary and grievance procedures Independently manage employee relations matters Support employee engagement and retention initiatives Manage resignations, exits, and exit interviews Policies, Compliance & Systems Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures Ensure compliance with Irish employment legislation Liaise with overseas compliance advisors where required Support Health & Safety and ISO standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001) from a people and training perspective Maintain training, competence, and induction records Prepare HR documentation for audits, inspections, and certification reviews Culture & People Development Be a visible and approachable HR presence across the business Support managers in building strong, accountable teams Promote a positive, professional, high-standard workplace culture Assist with training plans, skills development, and succession planning Support structured career progression across the organisation Skills & Experience Required Essential Third-level qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline CIPD qualification (Level 7 or above preferred) or equivalent accredited HR qualification Proven experience in a full-time, hands-on HR & Recruitment role Strong recruitment experience (ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or construction) Solid knowledge of Irish employment law Confident handling employee relations issues independently Excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills Comfortable working in operational, shop floor and site-based environments Desirable
Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial setting Experience supporting ISO standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001) Experience managing work permits and international recruitment Experience within a growing or multi-entity organisation Personal Attributes
