The Role: An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a mobile maintenance team supporting multiple operational sites across Dublin. This is a field-based position focused on maintaining and repairing fixed plant machinery within busy production environments. The role suits someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem solving and working across different locations.
Responsibilities:
Carry out maintenance and repair of fixed plant machinery including conveyors, crushers, screening equipment, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves and bearings.
Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical systems.
Respond to plant breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
Perform preventative maintenance in line with planned maintenance schedules.
Carry out welding and fabrication repairs where required.
Complete maintenance documentation and job records accurately.
Work closely with site teams to ensure plant operates safely and efficiently.
Adhere to all health and safety procedures while working across multiple operational sites.
The Person:
Proven experience working as a Fixed Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician in a heavy industrial environment.
Experience maintaining fixed plant equipment such as conveyors, crushers, screens or similar machinery.
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Welding and fabrication experience beneficial.
Full clean driving licence required.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
The Offer:
Full-time, permanent position covering multiple sites across Dublin.
Competitive hourly rate of €20–€25 depending on experience.
Time and a half paid for late shifts (day/evening shift rotation).
