Part Qualified Accountant Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath Salary: €30,000 - €35,000 DOE Full-time, permanent | Hybrid (flexible hours)
The Company A well-established accountancy practice is seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join its team. The role involves preparing accounts, tax returns, and financial reports for a varied client base while supporting senior staff and liaising with clients. This hands-on position offers broad exposure within a busy practice environment and is ideal for someone progressing through their professional exams with strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Prepare year-end non-audit company accounts and supporting working papers
Reconcile balance sheet items including VAT, payroll, fixed assets, leases, and hire purchase accounts
Assist in the preparation of management accounts
Prepare statutory financial statements in line with deadlines and internal processes
Assist with year-end close processes and journal postings
Prepare Corporation Tax returns
Liaise with clients via phone and email to gather information and resolve queries
Support managers on ad hoc assignments and client projects
Requirements
Part-qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
Minimum 2+ years' experience in an accountancy practice
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience preparing accounts and working with multiple clients
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Technical Skills
Experience with CCH Accounts Production
Proficient in Excel (intermediate/advanced preferred)
Familiarity with Surf, Xero, Sage Line 50 or similar systems
