The Company: A well-established Irish materials and construction business operating across multiple sites in Dublin, supplying aggregates and building materials to major infrastructure projects.
The Role: An opportunity for an experienced Fixed Plant Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a mobile team supporting multiple sites across Dublin. This field-based role focuses on maintaining and repairing fixed plant machinery in busy production environments, ideal for someone hands-on who enjoys problem-solving and working across different locations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair fixed plant machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves and bearings
Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical systems
Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime
Carry out preventative maintenance in line with schedules
Perform welding and fabrication repairs as required
Complete maintenance records accurately
Work closely with site teams to ensure safe, efficient operations
Adhere to health and safety procedures across all sites
The Person:
Experience as a Fixed Plant Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Technician in a heavy industrial setting
Strong experience with fixed plant equipment (conveyors, crushers, screens, etc.)
Excellent mechanical fault-finding skills
Good electrical knowledge.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Welding/fabrication experience advantageous
Full clean driving licence
Self-motivated, able to work independently across sites
Strong communication and team skills
