Trainee Accountant Location: Swords, Co. Dublin Full-time, permanent | Hybrid working available
The Company A growing accountancy practice in North Dublin/Meath is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join its team, supporting a diverse portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients across multiple sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career candidate to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment, with full training and structured support towards becoming a fully qualified accountant.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
Support bookkeeping tasks including bank reconciliations and processing transactions
Assist with VAT, PAYE, and other Revenue returns
Work with senior team members on client assignments across a range of industries
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Assist with audit and year-end processes where required
Support general administrative and ad hoc accounting tasks
Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or currently studying)
Strong interest in pursuing a professional qualification (ACA / ACCA)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. Xero or Sage 50) is an advantage
The Offer
Salary: €30,000 - €38,000 DOE
