Financial Controller Location: Mulranny, Co. Mayo (On-site) Full-time, permanent
A growing hospitality group is seeking a Financial Controller to join one of its recently acquired properties in the West of Ireland. The group operates a portfolio of established hotels and continues to expand, offering strong career development opportunities within a dynamic and evolving environment.
This is a key on-site position responsible for overseeing the full finance function of a busy hotel operation. Reporting to the Group Financial Director, the Financial Controller will play a central role in financial management, reporting, and commercial decision-making, working closely with the senior leadership team on-site.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial processes
Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
Monitor financial performance and provide insights to support decision-making
Oversee cash flow, cost control, and financial planning
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Manage payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions
Liaise with auditors and support year-end processes
Partner with operational teams to drive profitability and efficiency
Report regularly to the Group Financial Director
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong hands-on experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role
Hospitality experience desirable but not essential
Strong commercial awareness and ability to influence decision-making
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function
