The Role: An opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a mobile maintenance team supporting multiple sites across Dublin. This field-based role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment within busy production environments. This position is ideal for a hands-on Mechanical Fitter who enjoys fault-finding, working with a wide range of equipment, and operating across different sites.
Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment across multiple sites
Work on a range of plant machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, gearboxes, motors, pumps, valves, and bearings
Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults across plant equipment
Support breakdown response to minimise downtime and maintain production
Perform planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules
Carry out basic fabrication and repair work as required
Assist with mechanical upgrades and improvements to equipment
Complete maintenance documentation and job reports accurately
Work closely with site teams to ensure safe and efficient operations
Adhere to all health and safety procedures across sites
The Person:
Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial or production environment
Strong background in mechanical maintenance and fault-finding
Experience working with heavy plant or production machinery (advantageous)
Basic electrical knowledge desirable
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Welding and fabrication experience beneficial
Full clean driving licence
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
