Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath
Salary: €65,000 - €75,000 DOE + Company Bonus - early finish on Fridays
 
The Company
Our client is a well-established accountancy and advisory firm with a strong reputation for delivering expert tax and business advisory services. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead their Income Tax function while managing a varied portfolio of clients. In this role, you will oversee the efficient delivery of personal tax compliance, identify tax planning opportunities, manage client relationships, provide advisory services across all Irish tax heads, support business development initiatives and mentor junior members of the tax team.
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the firm's Income Tax function.
  • Review personal tax returns for individuals, directors and high-net-worth clients.
  • Identify personal tax planning opportunities and provide practical tax advice.
  • Manage Revenue queries, audits and disclosures.
  • Ensure compliance deadlines are met while improving internal processes.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
  • Advise on business structuring, reorganisations, M&A and cross-border tax matters.
  • Conduct technical tax research and prepare reports.
  • Coordinate with audit and accounting teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Manage workflow, WIP and billing for your client portfolio.
  • Support business development and identify opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior team members.
 
The Person
  • CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with strong Irish tax experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in an Irish practice environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish taxation, particularly Income Tax.
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
  • Commercial mindset with strong organisational and leadership abilities.
