The Company: A well-established organisation operating within the construction materials and heavy industrial sector. The business has a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and maintaining high standards across its operations. Due to continued activity, they are seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team.
The Role: The Plant Fitter will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of mobile and fixed plant machinery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge who can identify faults quickly and keep equipment operating efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mobile and fixed plant machinery
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently
Service and maintain equipment to reduce downtime
Work on machinery such as loaders, dumpers, conveyors, crushers, screens, and other plant equipment
Complete preventative maintenance checks and inspections
Assist with breakdowns and urgent repair work when required
Work closely with the wider maintenance and operations teams
The Person:
Previous experience working as a Plant Fitter, Maintenance Fitter, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
Experience maintaining both mobile and fixed plant machinery
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems
Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
The Offer:
Average earnings of between €65,000 - €70,000
