The Company:
  
Our client extracts methane gas from landfill sites and generates electricity for resale to electricity providers. The conversion of landfill-sourced methane into electricity provides a greener and more sustainable source of electricity than traditional sources.
  
The Role:
  
We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will maintain and troubleshoot gas and diesel generator plants, gas-handling systems, and other associated equipment, contributing to the success of our bioenergy operations.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electronic components of generating and gas-handling plants.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical systems and equipment to minimise downtime.
  • Calibrate instrumentation and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maximise plant uptime by performing on-line machine adjustments and supporting operational needs.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and liaise effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Assist in the installation of new plant and equipment as required.
  • Participate in training programmes, supporting personal development and team growth.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and parts are stored appropriately.
  • Adhere to ETCI guidelines and health and safety standards.
  
The Person:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience post-apprenticeship.
  • Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent electrical qualification.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, particularly with control systems.
  • Previous experience in industrial control systems.
  • Methodical and flexible team player with a willingness to learn.
  • Clean driving licence (company vehicle provided).
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and occasional overtime as required.
  
The Offer:
  • Base Salary of €55,000 - €60,000
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 22 days annually, increasing with length of service.
  • VHI allowance.
  • On-call allowance.
  • Company vehicle provided.
